Staff Pick of the Month
Our October staff pick was chosen by Rhonda, an employee at Bremer’s for 14 years and the person we all go to for food and wine pairings. Rhonda’s pick, Conundrum Red is a wine she first tried when she brought it to her sister’s house for a family gathering. Some drank it alongside roast beef, others had it with burgers and it was a big hit all around! Rhonda suggested it would also be very good with an assortment of hard cheeses. So, as we are going into the season of holiday get-togethers, pick up a bottle of this red wine that is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
“A rich, dark red, it offers aromas of ripe berries and plums, warmed by a hint of cocoa. Dried fruit and the taste of chocolate-covered cherries come through on the palate, while a wisp of smokiness makes this wine – created from dark red varietals including Zinfandel and Petite Sirah – the perfect complement to grilled meats and full-flavored dishes.” -Conundrum Wines
Bremer’s September staff pick has been chosen by Tim, fourth generation co-owner of Bremer’s Wine and Liquor. While Tim certainly loves the warm summer months, the cooler temperatures that September brings allow for a delicious glass of red wine. And that is exactly what Tim found in his pick, Torres Celeste Crianza. Filled with flavors of “cherry and red plum” this is the perfect wine to enjoy while the seasons begin to change.
Recommended by Tim AND backed with an 88 point rating from Wine Spectator, you can’t go wrong with this wine.

This month’s staff pick has been chosen by Garry – longtime Bremer’s employee. He liked his pick, Terra d’Oro Zinfandel, from the first sip.
“This savory Zinfandel displays vibrant aromas of rich, spicy clove and big, generous fruit with hints of vanilla that entice the nose. An abundance of plums and flavors of dense, juicy blackberries excites the senses with a round mouthfeel of well-integrated tannins on the finish. This wine is rich and powerful, and incredibly well-balanced. The Terra d’Oro Amador Zinfandel is enjoyable on its own, and especially complements anything barbecued.” -Terra d’Oro Winery

Rated 90 Points by Wine Advocate | “A custom cuvee created by importer Eric Solomon, the 2015 IGP Cotes Catalanes Novellum is a smokin’ value that’s made from 100% Chardonnay that spent three months in tank (on Viognier lees) followed by three months in barrel. Tasting like it cost three times the price, it offers lots of orchard fruits, white peach, honeysuckle and a hint of vanilla to go with a medium to full-bodied, crisp, yet still textured and mouth-filling style on the palate. You can’t go wrong at the price and this is a terrific wine to enjoy over the coming year or two.” -Wine Advocate
