BONTERRA AND 1,000 STORIES WINES

Free tasting of Bonterra Chardonnay, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc and 1,000 Stories Gold Rush Red and Zinfandel

Bonterra Chardonnay: “An initial impression of rich, buttery cream quickly turns to aromas of honey and lightly toasted almonds, followed by tropical aromas of pineapple, citrusy lemon and crème brulee. The wine is refreshing on the palate, with a minerality that is both bright and clean, drawing you into a vibrant tartness and lemon zest that is absolutely, positively Bonterra Chardonnay, vintage after vintage.”

Bonterra Riesling: “The wine has aromas of white flowers, apple, pear, peach, honey and clove with an underlying minerality and classic Riesling spice. In the mouth, it is a balance of crisp acidity and subtle sweetness with a long rich finish.”

Bonterra Sauvignon Blanc: “There is no mistaking the New World style of this wine. Intense aromas of citrus, kiwi and fresh cut grass greet the nose. As you drink, the crisp acidity makes this wine particularly refreshing.”

1,000 Stories Gold Rush Red: “The California Gold Rush was a period of courage, bravado, and curiosity. It was with these characteristics in mind we created 1000 Stories Gold Rush Red. Grapes chosen from the golden valleys and hills of California were combined to create this bold, adventurous testament to that intrepid spirit. We selected a combination of new and used bourbon barrels for this Seasonal Release. This rich wine presents flavors of black fruit, cloves, pepper and vanilla.”

1,000 Stories Zinfandel: “Batch #22 of 1,000 Stories Bourbon barrel-aged Zinfandel is a harmonious balance of Zinfandel grapes from Mendocino and Sonoma counties which is bursting with aromatic red fruit scents and complex black fruit flavors. A touch of Petite Sirah and Syrah enhance those flavors even more with bold black and white pepper spices. The batch is then rounded out with a layer of smokiness derived from the new bourbon barrel aging.”
