Skinny Margaritas

National Margarita Day is February 22nd and any excuse to relax and have a Margarita is a good one! We even found some amazing, skinny Margarita recipes to help you enjoy the celebration guilt free.


Skinny Frozen Strawberry Peach Margarita

Serves 4 (about 120 calories per serving)

Ingredients
15-10  frozen strawberries
2 peaches,  peeled and chopped
4 ounces tequila
1 cup crushed ice
12 ounces sparkling water

Directions
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.


 


 

Super Skinny Margarita

Serves 4 (about 100 calories per serving)

Ingredients
12 ounces of Sparkling Lemon lime water
Crushed ice
6 ounces Tequila
1/4 cup orange juice
2 Tbsp. fresh squeezed lime juice
1 lime, cut into 4 slices (for garnish)
Coarse salt for rimming glass (optional)

Directions
Rub the lime wedges around the rim of 4 glasses. Place salt on a small plate and turn each glass upside down, dipping the rims in the sugar to coat. Fill glasses with crushed ice.

Place sparkling water, tequila, orange juice and lime juice into a pitcher and stir. Pour into 4 prepared glasses and garnish with lime slice.


 


Lime Sorbet Skinny Margarita

Serves 4 (about 100 calories per serving)

Ingredients
1 lime, cut into 4 slices
1/4 cup sugar
4 cups (2 pints) lime sorbet
4 oz. Tequila

Directions
Start by rubbing the lime wedges around the rims of 4 glasses. Place sugar on a small plate and turn each glass upside down, dipping the rims in the sugar to coat.

Next, place 1/2 cup of sorbet in each glass and pour 1 tablespoon of tequila over the top of each glass. Serve with a spoon.


 


Sunshine Skinny Margarita

Serves 4 (about 250 calories per serving)

Ingredients
8 ounces Tequila
4 ounces Cointreau
4 ounces fresh Orange Juice
2 tsp. agave (or your choice of sweetener)
1.5 ounces Lime Juice
4 orange slices
1/4 cup of sugar to rim the glass

Directions
Wet the edge of the glass with a slice of lime. Place the sugar on a small plate. Turn each glass upside down and dip the rims in the sugar to coat.

Fill the glass with ice cubes. Add all ingredients into a pitcher and stir well until combined. Poor into glasses and enjoy!
