April 2018 | Pedroncelli Mother Clone Zinfandel

This month, our staff pick has been chosen by Tim, fourth generation co-owner of Bremer’s Wine and Liquor.

A new addition to the racks in our store, Tim decided to bring Pedroncelli Mother Clone Zinfandel to Easter dinner this year and it was a big hit all around! Soft and silky, with concentrated berry flavors and hints of black pepper, smoke, and brick, it’s no wonder everyone thought this wine was delicious. And, while it’s a full-bodied wine, this Zinfandel manages to drink light, making it a perfect choice for our transition into spring.

Did we mention it got a tremendous rating of 93 points and Editor’s Choice by Wine Enthusiast?! You can’t go wrong with this pick!

“Our Mother Clone is a classic Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel with aromas of red and black berries and a touch of warm baking spices. The concentrated flavors of raspberry and blackberry combine with vanilla, toasty oak, pepper and a dash of nutmeg. The spicy-berry dynamic so typical of Dry Creek Zin combines smooth tannins and bright acidity which are a hallmark of our style. Enjoy now or cellar for three to five years.” -Winemaker
