January 2018 | Chop Shop Cabernet

Our first staff pick of 2018 was chosen by Ken, an employee with Bremer’s for over 6 years.

Ken used to be all about sweet wines, but has recently taken a liking into all things dry. When he first tried his pick, Chop Shop Cabernet, the first thing that popped into his mind was steak. So while it might be too cold to break out the grill (although not unheard of), pick up a bottle of Chop Shop and a nice steak and get cooking! You won’t be disappointed in the pick or the pairing.

“A blend of Lodi and Clarksburg AVAs, this crowd pleasing style results from fermentation in stainless steel, and aging in a combination of stainless steel and french oak. A touch of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc add some dark, complex nuances to this otherwise juicy Cabernet Sauvignon, and what’s in the bottle is a red that is friendly and versatile, with underlining masculinity and structure.” -Winemaker
