May 2015 | Chateau Maris La Touge 2011

chateau-maris-la-togueBrittany is one of our newest employees at Bremer’s! With her outgoing personality and vast bar tending experience she is a great addition to our team! When she isnt busy gracing our TV commercials she can be found hanging out with her pet Puggel, Diesel and sipping a glass of Chateau Maris La Touge.

Her staff pick is La Touge 2011. It’s a blend of 85% Syrah and 15% Grenache…it is bottled unfined and unfiltered and is thus suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The nose is ripe black fruits (blackcurrants, elderberries) notes alongside more spicy characteristics (pepper, herbs). The palate is very attractive with firm yet silky tannins. Aromatic, spicy with a fabulously generous weight. Rated 91 points by Wine Advocate, Reviewer Jeb Dunnuck states, “The single vineyard 2011 Minervois La Touge is a smoking effort that gives up perfumed kirsch, toasted spice and licorice aromas and flavors in a medium to full-bodied, voluptuous and textured package. It has a great mid-palate, loads of fruit and a beautifully balanced, layered feel. It will have 8-10 years of ultimate longevity.”

Stop in and pick up a bottle (it’s in our organic section) or buy it online for $14.99!
