Procrastinators, Rejoice: It’s Not Too Late for Valentine’s Day Gifts!

Show Your Sweetheart You Care With These Gift Suggestions

It happens to the best of us…a holiday falls on the same day each year, yet somehow manages to sneak up on us. Don’t panic, because Bremer’s Wine and Liquor can keep you out of the doghouse.

Few pairings are as classic as wine and cheese. Come in for your favorite wine and pick up a cheese-themed gift bag and glass markers shaped like cheese wedges. Then head over to your favorite cheese store (several of us here are fans of Artisanal Premium Cheese but most grocery stores have really good selections, too), and you’ll be set.

Flowers or wine? You don’t have to choose between the two. Gerard Bertrand Cotes de Roses Rosé, Lakewood Vineyards Abbey Rose, Long Stem Red, and Long Stem White. Add some chocolate here and there, and you’ve got a great gift.

If you don’t want to deal with crowds at bars and restaurants, make yourself a cocktail at home. Maybe a little Gin and Sin?

1 orange slice
1 lemon piece
½ ounce simple syrup
1 ounce fresh orange juice
½ ounce fresh lemon juice
¼ ounce grenadine
2 ounces gin.
Muddle the orange slice and lemon piece with the juices. Add the gin and grenadine. Shake all ingredients well with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass.

Is your Valentine a fan of our feathered friends? A Corkatoo corkscrew and a bottle of Decoy wine certainly won’t ruffle any feathers.

How does a coffee date sound? Here’s how to make a Coffee Nudge:
1 ounce brandy
½ ounce dark crème de cacao
½ coffee liqueur
Hot coffee
Lightly whipped heavy cream (you want to be able to still pour it, not spoon it)
Build drink in an Irish coffee glass and slowly float the cream on top.

If you find you’re still pressed for time, just stop in and grab a chilled bottle of wine or champagne from our cooler, add a gift bag, and voila! Valentine’s Day magic.
