Tasting Notes
The nose offers power, intensity and concentration, with notes of blackberry, strawberry, violet as well as subtle hints of Cuban pepper, camphor and cardamom. The palate is fruity, fresh, balanced and expresses notes of juicy cherry, small berries with spices. The tannins are well developed and add good length.
Serving Suggestion
Charcuterie, especially paté and terrines. Cold roast beef. Cold game pies. Simple grilled meat like a steak frites or sausage with chips, haricot beans or lentils. Shepherd’s pie and its French equivalent hachis parmentier. Goat and sheep cheeses, mild brie and camembert.
