The vineyards in Horse Heaven Hills are the source and inspiration behind the H3 wines. The hills have been home to the Columbia Crest winery for more than two decades, and it is this heritage, combined with innovative winemaking and vineyard knowledge, that allow our winemaker to create wines that capture the unique terroir of the region.
Tasting Notes
The H3 Rose wine is a crisp style rose with a beautiful light pink color. The fresh and lively wine offers bright aromas of watermelon and white raspberry followed by flavors of peach, honey crisp apple and hints of melon. This flavorful wine has a long crisp finish.
Winemaking Information
The juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks for 7-10 days, using yeast to showcase the vibrant, fresh fruit.
46% Syrah, 32% Cabernet, 16% Grenache, 3% Mourvedre, 2% Cinsault, 1% Counoise
89 points || Youthful and bright, this has tart scents of rhubarb and a core of fraises des bois. Mildly bitter phenolics give the wine an attractive edge. A food rosé, for vitello tonnato.
