This results in an incredibly bold and unique sensory expression. Dark ruby in color, this wine opens with aromas of boysenberry, black cherry, nutmeg, cinnamon, and gingerbread spice, with hints of sweet mesquite smoke, tobacco, and barley malt. Deep, rich flavors of jammy boysenberry, gingerbread, cinnamon, and nutmeg, with ripe, chocolatey tannins and a smooth, subtle smoke on the finish.
A superb accompaniment to grilled skirt steak, charcuterie board, aged cheeses, Kobe beef sliders, and great friends with outrageous stories.
