Tablelands Sauvignon Blanc – 750ML

WS 88

Tasting Notes

A Sauvignon Blanc that sings of new life. Everything about this wine is expressed in shades of green; from the bright reflections of barely-steeped green tea revealed in the glass to the gentle hint of clipped tarragon on the finish. The nose offers delicately restrained notes of tender lemon grass, kaffir lime, and newly sprouted ferns. There is an intriguing mineral quality that is reminiscent of the cool smell of a shallow mountain stream gently rolling over smooth grey stones. The palate is surprisingly fluid, thankfully devoid of any overly sharp acid edges so often found in other Sauvignon Blancs. Like a single cord of a violin plucked or a silk ribbon floating on a gentle breeze, the flavors both awaken and sooth. Lime blossom and honeydew skin are complemented by a tarragon and bay laurel infused finish.

Serving Suggestion

Delicious anytime – on its own, with light hors-d’oeuvres, fresh salads, shellfish, or Asian-style seafood dishes.
