Chambourcin is generally one of the last grapes to be harvested on the estate with picking times ranging from late October to early November. It is a French American hybrid that produces a deep colored and wonderfully aromatic wine. It is a bountiful producer (large clusters and many of them) that sometimes need fruit to be dropped from the vine to promote vine health and better overall wine quality.
Tasting Notes
This wine has a tart cherry, strawberry jam palate. Finished with just a touch of sweetness, it is best served chilled.
Serving Suggestion
Pairs well with barbeque ribs, pizza, and red based pasta dishes.
