Tasting Notes
Elsass has been a long-time dream of Union Sacre. The name refers to the Elsassian French vernacular. This Riesling is produced in a dry Kabinett style and just as the Elsass language is born and unique to people and a place, so too is this Riesling. It is table-ready and versatile.
Wilfred Wong from wine.com: The 2019 Union Sacré Elsass (Elsass is the German word for Alsace—https://www.dictionary.com/browse/elsass—) comes across as a Kabinett style Riesling, and it is an excellent New World example of this genre. TASTING NOTES: This wine exhibits excellent aromas and flavors of ripe apples, dried earth, flowers, and candy. It is dry without being overly acidic. Serve this with a well-appointed charcuterie plate of cheese, pâtes, and fresh fruit. 91 Points. (Tasted: April 20, 2021, San Francisco, CA)
