March 2023 Staff Pick from Anne: Three Brothers Stony Lonesome Chambourcin

This Month’s Selection is a Local Wine From the Finger Lakes Region of New York

Anne has chosen Three Brothers Stony Lonesome Chambourcin for the March Staff Pick. Not usually a sweet wine drinker, she likes that the sweetness is more like black currant than a Jolly Rancher, and even though it’s served chilled, it’s somehow perfect for winter (of course, this pick is coming from someone who wants ice-cold soda on freezing-cold days). The Chambourcin grape itself has only been available since 1963, so it’s not as well known as its red cousins, but this young grape has earned a place at the grownups’ table. Serve this Seneca Lake wine chilled for a perfect after-dinner drink no matter the weather.
